3 new achievement points!
Sep. 13th, 2016 12:25 amToday marks twenty wonderful years with the silly man who is my husband.
You can tell we're gamer geeks. It's been the joke for the past month or so that twenty years of marriage is a milestone that awards 3 achievement points and that we're trying so hard to not divorce or murder each other before we get them. APs are hard to get, so you have to make sure you keep striving for them and don't mess it up when you're almost there! Twenty-five years gives 10 AP, so there's some incentive to stay together for another five years.
I could write an essay here about how happy I am with my husband and what I think has made our marriage successful, but I'm really not into the mushy stuff. Suffice it to say that my husband is my best friend first, that he's the person in the world that I want to spend my time with and that he'd say the same thing about me. We work together like a charm (literally as well as figuratively, as we've worked together in various companies for almost as long as we've been married - we actually have the reputation in our industry in this town as being a team) and share many common interests, while also having our own separate interests that we encourage in each other.
It's almost unbelievable that we've been together for twenty years, as it just doesn't seem like it's been that long, but on the other hand, there's no other life that I can even imagine, no better marriage or husband. Here's to the next twenty wonderful years!
