Author's Notes: This fic is a gift toromanajo123 because the idea -- specifically the last few things that Jon says -- comes from a discussion we had earlier this year, way back near the beginning I think, about how a person will typcially only work hard to do something if there's something they really, really want at the end.
This was an interesting challenge for me because for the most of the latter half, Jon and Donna do not move and can't see each other's faces, so I felt that I had to keep the visual description to a minimum: no gestures, no facial expressions. It's rather a dry read, but then it's rather a dry situation.
