A few of my pics from Gally. I didn't have the camera out as much as I should have, and I didn't take pictures of the stars at the autograph table, for some reason. I would have liked to have gotten pics of Nev Fountain, Jamie Mathieson, and Simon Guerrier, at the very least.

Mr. Peter Davison, at his first panel

Are the Fifth Doctor and Adric allowed to be this happy together?

This is the guy that was ahead of me at Colin Baker's autograph table. You can't see it in the photo, but the outfit is exquisite.

The fire alarm went off during the con and this picture is of part of the crowd milling around outside. Apparently, Peter Davison was in a panel at the time and no one in the audience got up to evacuate. He said later that he was so flattered, that people would rather die than leave his panel.

The War Doctor

An episode that many say is a classic, signed by Colin Baker and Nicola Bryant. This one has extra features.

<3 Sean Carlsen. Really. He suggested we Capaldi the photo. Apparently that's a verb now.

And the real prize: I finally got my cricket ball completed!

What wonderful photos! You are so lucky to have had this experience with so many fantastic people. The cricket ball is glorious! :)

Btw, did you know that on the cover of your signed DVD is the character played by Kenny Baker (aka R2D2)? Just thought I'd throw in that piece of trivia... sorry.

Btw, the actor on that DVD cover (playing Sil, I assume you mean, as the other two are Colin and Nicola?) is actually Nabil Shaban, who is even now enthusiastic enough about being Sil that I'm sure he'd be very upset to have the credit passed to anyone else! ;-)

It really was fantastic. I really can't wait to go again next year (if I can get tickets). It was that good.

It was fantastic! And I was amazed at how pleased people were about being asked to be photographed. Everyone was so accommodating. The Dood spotted me taking his picture from across the hall and stopped and held up the communicator like a toast. :D

Wow, great pictures, and to meet an LJ friend there is just great! The costumes are well-done, that Sixth Doctor costume, you could tell that it was very detailed.

Thanks for sharing....

I heard his conversation with Colin Baker, and he said he's a costumer by trade. Every bit of the outfit was beautifully made, including the waistcoat.

Our photo turned out great! Remind me to send you a copy of the one taken on my phone. :D

Amazing Six costume. The wig even looks good.

Feeling better?

BTW, I was IN that panel. I really couldn't leave because people were in the aisles blocking my way. Which meant I didn't have to move back once it was deemed a false alarm. But I'm amused at PD's reaction. :)

I was just amazed at how much you look like Jenny. Such a perfect cosplay for you. I've seen other Jenny cosplayers, but because the costume is so plain, there are so many where you have to guess that she's who they were going for. There's no way to mistake you, though.

I'm feeling more or less perfect now, though still coughing occasionally. I have a feeling it's going to stick with me for a week.

Looks like you had an awesome weekend (aside from the whole catching a cold from Colin Baker). You now need to put that cricket ball inside a display case or something.

He suggested we Capaldi the photo. Apparently that's a verb now.

Heh, I'm totally going to use Capaldi as a verb now. :-)

I don't think I've seen your Fifth Doctor cosplay before, at least not close up. It looks great! Did you husband wear his Fourth Doctor costume?

One of these days I will attend Gally. I really would like to visit a smaller con.

The cricket ball has its own display case on my DW bookcase, though now I will have to periodically turn it to display one side or the other. :D

Thanks for the compliment on the cosplay! I'd like to improve it (knit my own jumper, rather than just have the stripes painted on, get better trousers, and eventually sew my own frock coat), but so much work... My husband didn't wear his, sadly. He's not much in to cosplay and didn't want to expend the energy. He did regret not bringing it, after he found out how fun the con was.

I hope we can meet up whenever you do attend Gally! I might also decide to do some of the other cons around the country every so often. It was just so wonderful being with so many fans.

If you don't want to knit a cricket jumper, I have seen cricket jumpers occasionally in stores. Or eBay. I find a lot of my cosplay items there. I totally can relate to wanting to improve a costume but not having the time (or the funds).

I might also decide to do some of the other cons around the country every so often. It was just so wonderful being with so many fans.

That's a large part of why I love cons. To hang out with other fans. These people love the same things you do and it's so easy to start up a conversation while waiting in line.

Attending Gally at least once is definitely a bucket list item. One day it will happen. It'd be great to meet up. :-)

LOL @ the "Dood".

The fire alarm went off during the con

I wonder why this is such a common occurrence at cons. At least it wasn't in the middle of the night!
