I just posted one of the David AU stories that I've been debating about. It's really just fluff. I don't know why I'm concerned that it's too fluffy to include in the AU. *shrug* Ah well.

I would like to know, though, if I used the word "Mackem" wrong. Please let me know if I have.

Read and commented; personally, I think it's nice to include a few snippets of "down-time," where they are just having some fun.

I don't know about the other... let someone else comment if they know.

Yeah, "Mackem" is an accent or dialect. I think it's used like "Cockney". I decided that David and Will are living in County Durham, and Ben grew up in the town they're in (whatever town it is; I've left that undefined - I should just make one up and give it name, like the show did with Leadville) so he should have a local accent. I looked up the accent on Wikipedia, but I'm not sure if I was using the word correctly, because I've come across other instances in writing in which I chose a word by looking the concept up on the Internet and it turned out my assumptions about it were wrong. Ah, the problems of an American trying to write British culture. :P

Well, then, being a fellow American, I wouldn't know either!

I am unfamiliar with the word, but I'm getting ready to read it now!
