Does it seem strange to anybody...
Oct. 30th, 2018 06:40 pm...that an American billionaire would select Sheffield as THE place to build a luxury resort for the purpose of raking in profits? I mean, yes, the land was cheap, but you'd think that profit would be better if the hotel were somewhere people actually wanted to go.

Date: 2018-10-31 06:20 pm (UTC)Segue. I was thinking of doing that vague area next holiday - maybe north Wales, and then Liverpool, Manchester, or Leeds. Or perhaps I need to do something new, like Devon/Cornwall. Or spend the entire time up in the Highlands. :D
Also, I had no idea that's where Derbyshire was. After all this time and the multiple re-reads of Pride & Prejudice, I always thought it was further east, like near Norwich. Now I see it on a map and I'm like, durr, why didn't I check this before? Sigh.
