Snowflake Challenge - Day 4

Day 4
In your own space, create a fannish wishlist. No limits on size or type of fanwork; just tell us what you’d like to see. Leave a comment in this post saying you did it. Include a link to your post if you feel comfortable doing so. And if you grant a wish, do the same thing!
I didn't really understand what they were asking, so here's the rest of the challenge text: "Would you like a story for a little fandom that’s got no traction? Would you like a trope written for a popular one? Maybe you have an amazing idea for a set of song lyrics but no way of setting them to music. Maybe there’s a piece of fanart you’re craving, or you wish you had icons for your favorite show. Maybe you want someone to talk about a book with. Maybe it’s something vaguer; maybe you’d like recommendations for new canons to try, or you’d like people to take a look at your fanworks and let you know what they think. Maybe you’d like to make more friends here, or on another platform; maybe you’d like an inbox to squee into or comment fic."
Okay, that made more sense. I really couldn't think of much, so here are my thoughts.
Um. That's it. That's all I can think of. I really don't have any requests for fanwork or fandom, or anything I'd like to do, other than write more. I guess my attitude toward fandom is something I do, not something I want, if that makes any sense?

Okay, that made more sense. I really couldn't think of much, so here are my thoughts.
- Concert band arrangements of music from Doctor Who. I really would love to perform Murray Gold's music. This is difficult to find. There are arrangements for a very few pieces - the theme, I Am the Doctor, a couple more - and I have them on order (so that when I get to meet Murray Gold at Gallifrey One next month, I can ask him to autograph the score for I Am the Doctor), but not much more. There are some arrangements on musescore.org, but they're either for small ensemble or orchestra.
- I'd love any non-romantic fanfiction for The Reckoners. I don't care about David and Megan. I want to see the Reckoners in action, taking down Epics! (Yes, yes, I've been meaning to write this myself.)

Date: 2018-01-04 07:28 pm (UTC)In Montreal, there's the Orchestre a Vents de Musiques de Films - a fan orchestra that plays music from films and TV. (Actually, they're a wind ensemble - I think they don't have strings.) They arrange all their own music and put on concerts. I got to see them at the Montreal Comicon this past year - they did concerts for DW, HP, and Star Wars. I would so join an orchestra/band like that in my hometown.
