Actually, I'm elated to see new TDAs coming soon. Sure, I'd prefer Donna or Martha, but we knew they'd eventually have audios with Rose. I'm just happy to have more of my beloved Ten in audio, and I just wish the preorders were open.

As a side note, I really need to get myself transferred to Dreamwidth. Soon, soon...

You're certainly miles more happier about it then I am. To be honest, I am dreading the fuss.

Dreamwidth still seems to be much quieter than here, but no doubt that will change soon.

While I don't like Rose and think that she was an awful influence on the Doctor, she doesn't really turn me off from more Ten. And to be honest, if they write her correctly - fawning, obsessive, and jealous - she's a hoot to watch. On the other hand, the trailer (which I only just listened to) rather implies, with not one but two "I'm Rose Tyler and..." statements, that she'll be obnoxious and self-important. Of course, the Doctor encourages that, damn him. :P

But to me, Rose returning is a lot more palatable than Clara returning. Those audios - and you know they'll happen, maybe in about five years - will be difficult to convince myself to buy. I probably won't.

I'd find her more of a hoot if the Doctor hadn't encouraged her (or at least discouraged her more from the romantic thoughts towards him). And I feel like I've worked with people like Rose Tyler. Let's just say that I didn't enjoy the experience. And I've had trouble liking teenage characters for a long time. (Lucie Miller is a big exception to the rule.)

Huh. If she comes across as obnoxious and self-important then this might turn out to be one of BF's lesser works. Wonder what will happen if that is the case...?

Ugh. Clara audios? Ugly thought. Although if there's any backlash over these, BF will have to get more selective about what audios they do.

Eh, what's the point of dwelling on this? We each have enough stuff to deal with in our respective lives and enough things to get off the ground.

Besides, I'll be spending my money on Eighth Doctor adventures. Got a lot to catch up on. :)

New audios are always exciting (though I admit I grew tired of Rose after awhile, like you I figured there would be audios with her eventually). I still can't believe it broke BigFinish.com earlier.

Somehow the audios don't work for me. I tried those with Donna, and I listened to one with Eight Doctor. Maybe it's the lack of vision combined with the fact that English isn't my first language - I loved Cabin Pressure and Double Income, No Kids Yet, but with sci fi it's harder to understand and imagine the image - or maybe it's the scripts. But I'm happy for everyone who's happy about the news. It must also be joy for David Tennant to be the Doctor again.

I was excited about the idea of the Ten & Donna audios, but they're outside of my price range for something I'm likely to only listen to once. Ten & Rose is much more lukewarm to begin with, so the price becomes even more of an obstacle.

I'm on Dreamwidth under the same name. I usually have to scroll further back on my DW reading list than my LJ one these days, which is just amazing since it's never happened before in the eight years I've been there. There are active Doctor Who communities there - gallifrey_times, dwfiction, doctorwho, who_at_50 just from checking my own reading list. You might also try addme_fandom.
