I've been very pleased with Camp Nanowrimo this time around! Not that I'm writing a huge amount, but I am above my projected word count trajectory so far! Well, just barely above, but above is above. I've finished and posted one story, and I'm this close to finishing another - one that I asked [livejournal.com profile] dm12 to critique over four months ago. (In case I forgot to thank you for it, thank you so much! I've modified it a bit since you read it, hopefully for the better, added the beginning and am finishing the end now.) Other stories, well, not so much, still diddling around in them, but all in good time.

Of course, this does mean that other things are falling by the wayside, and that includes doing our taxes. Sigh. That's tonight's project. I always put them off until the last minute.

I'm getting a little anxious to set up a nice place in the house for me to do my personal activities - writing, crafting, making costumes, etc. I mean, I have a little spot in my bedroom, but I have stuff scattered all over the house. I'd like it all to be in one place, but this would mean cleaning house, rearranging furniture, and then organizing a ton of stuff. So much work, so little time!

Ooh, I can't wait to see it out!

Still doing taxes?!? Wow.... I get mine done almost as soon as I get the last W2. Of course it's a business, so we have someone filing them, but I have to get all the paperwork in order. I am crazy that way, though; I can't just let things wait. The minute a paper comes across my desk, it's dealt with.

I'd love to have my own space to do all of the business work, sewing, needlework, etc. But we have a full house; none of the kids want to leave!

Yeah, our taxes are easy. No business, no dependents, no complicated investments. It usually takes me about 3-4 hours, and the most time is taken up by organizing the health expenses to see if we should file them by item, but I've discovered it never even comes close unless we actually have a hospitalization or something (which we haven't had in years).

What I'd really love is something like this, but hoo boy, that's expensive. I can't see myself spending that much on that.

Kicking butt and taking names! :D You are really slamming it down! I'm thrilled to bits!

Good luck with the taxes - and the other misc work, honey. I know you'll get it done. Tis just GETTING there. :D

It feels really, really good to write and actually accomplish something. I'm loving it!

And thanks for the well wishes! Taxes are never fun, even if you get a refund (which we won't).

Wow, kudos with your writing!

And nothing compares to having your own creative space. I wish you luck with that and that you're able to have that space soon. I'm still working on mine as well.
