Wow, that's awesome news. I know Big Finish was doing some stuff with New Who characters but I never thought they would be able to get one of the newer Doctors to come back.

David and Catherine did some wonderful work reading the audio books but this is going to be even better. :-)

Oh, I was pretty sure that given the chance, either DT or Matt Smith would love to reprise their roles. What I'm surprised about is that the BBC allowed BF to license the characters. I figured the Beeb would hold onto them forever.

I have to say that I am also surprised that BF can afford DT. He's at an all-time high in popularity right now, and I cannot imagine he's cheap. On the other hand, I can imagine that he might work for a lower rate just so that he can do DW.

(Still hoping that CE will return to do audios, too! Yes, it's a futile hope, but one can dream.)

I've been told in the comments to be cautious with squeeing (too late for that...), as it hasn't been confirmed by Big Finish yet. But it was Blogtor Who, a site with a reputation so I believe it's true.

I didn't think about the money, it's a good point. But as you say, I can imagine David Tennant agree to a lower pay because 1) it's Doctor Who and 2) it's with Catherine Tate.

It would be great if Christopher Eccleston did some audios! Seems unlikeky but, who knows :)

Yeah, that was the most surprising bit of the news story. Maybe someone in upper management finally realized what a good job Big Finish does with the characters and that it wouldn't hurt to give the company more characters to play with.

Hey, for the longest time, Big Finish couldn't get Tom Baker to do any audios and look at him now! Anything is possible. :-D
