Oh, oh yes! That's what I so love about the show, that it was really about the people and how they were affected by the murder, including the police themselves.

I absolutely loved Hardy's and Ellie's relationship, how it changed from disdain on one side and enmity on the other to respect and a very carefully balanced friendship. I very much hope that the new season doesn't make them fall in love or introduce sexual tension between them, because, at least to me, they are so much more than that.
