Fanfic Writing Meme #25

We watched "Human Nature"/"Family of Blood" for the first time in a while last night. I still tear up every time I watch it. It amazes me how much this episode affects me every time.

25. Music – Do you listen to music while you write? Do you make playlists to get into a certain "mood" to write your fic? Do you need noise in general? Or do you need it completely quiet?

Fiction List

This is a list of all fanfics I've written, organized by Doctor or type (e.g. multi-Doctor, crossover).

Since many of my fics deal with particular episodes, they're listed by episode when appropriate. (This makes for some weirdness, as I have some fics that feature one Doctor but refer to a different Doctor's episode.)

• Multi-chapter fics are marked as such and have their wordcounts indicated.
  
• Story collections say "collections"
  
• All other fics are single short stories (less than 10,000 words).
  

Edit (2024-04): This list is really out of date, like it was probably last edited back in 2019 or so. I'll try to update it sometime, but for now, it's probably better to check out my AO3 list directly.

As his eyes lit up with the memories of the people saved at each unintended destination during his seven hundred years of wandering, she was remembering only two journeys: a landing on a dusty red planet, outside a tiny human colony, and a short jump half an hour later, with three additional passengers, to a deserted street on Earth. She gazed at him with an expression of eccentric reason, taking great care to conceal the misery her choice that day brought her.

It was where you needed to go.

I really hate my boss

I really, really do. First, he's my boss, and he's good at what he does: he's fantastic at management (without all those buzzwords), knows exactly what each person is capable of and is good at motivating them to strive for the best, and is very capable at economics and statistics and business math. He's a black belt in karate. He plays piano. He's a great father and husband. Oh, and his hobby? Sculpture. Somehow he also has time to play computer games, be a Doctor Who fan, and make sure that he follows all the fan forums for the game that we do live ops for. He talks directly to the fans, and they love him.

As my husband puts it, where in the hell did he get all the skill credits to spend when making his character? Gah. I hate him. (Not really. He's awesome. I'm just really, really jealous.)
