I intended to spend this Camp Nanowrimo doing another WIP rush, trying to finish up one of my nearly thirty WIPs that have been sitting around. And then I got an idea and I seem to have run with it. It's the seventh day and I've already written 12,000 of my target 20,000 words. Just woah. With that pace, I could win real NaNoWriMo (which I've never done). It's a weird idea (for me, not for other people) and I seem to have hit a rough spot today, so who knows if I'll be able to keep it up or if I'll actually finish the story, but at least it's made it a lot easier for me to finish Camp.

Date: 2016-07-08 04:49 am (UTC)Hey, you're ahead of me! I only cracked 10K last night, and still have to write more for today. I'm going for the full 50K, my usual goal. (31 days is easier to do it in, but I've managed over 100K at least once in a NaNo.)
Celebrate the progress. And you can push the goal a bit higher before the winning starts, if you so choose. :)

Date: 2016-07-08 02:49 pm (UTC)100k in one month! Wow! I wish I could do that! To get that much done, I have to really have a gripping idea. I've had full outlines of stories ready for the last two Novembers, but because I didn't obsess over them, I couldn't drill through them and the time pressure just turned me off.
Here's cheering you on for your 50k! And I bet I'll up my target soon. Almost hit 14k this morning.
